Lean ground turkey is simmered with a medley of vibrant bell peppers, kidney beans, and aromatic spices, creating a robust and flavorful chili that’s both wholesome and satisfying. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with your favorite toppings, this chili is a delicious way to cozy up and nourish your body with a protein-packed, low-fat meal.

    • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
    • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
    • 2 tablespoons chili powder
    • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
    • Olive oil for cooking
    • Toppings: Shredded cheese, sour cream, green onions, cilantro (optional)

    Cooking Instructions:

    1. Sautéing Aromatics:

    • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.

    2. Browning Turkey:

    • Add ground turkey to the pot, breaking it up with a spoon.
    • Cook until the turkey is browned and cooked through.

    3. Adding Bell Peppers:

    • Stir in diced red, yellow, and green bell peppers.
    • Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the peppers are slightly tender.

    4. Seasoning:

    • Sprinkle chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper over the mixture.
    • Stir to coat the ingredients with the spices.

    5. Simmering with Tomatoes and Beans:

    • Pour in crushed tomatoes and chicken broth.
    • Add drained and rinsed kidney beans.
    • Bring the mixture to a simmer.
